LT Jonathan Pool is a native of Milton, Florida. He holds a Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering degree from Auburn University. He earned his commission through the NROTC program in 2019 as a Student Naval Flight Officer.

After receiving his wings of gold, LT Pool conducted his operational sea tour with VP-8 “Fighting Tigers” out of Jacksonville, FL. He completed two deployments, deploying to both the INDOPACOM and EUCOM Areas of Responsibility. LT Pool served as Tactical Coordinator for multiple Combat Aircrews, accumulating over 1000 hours of flight time in the P-8A.

His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two awards). He assumed the position of Naval Science Instructor at NROTCU Arizona State University in April 2025.
