Daily Life

A typical week for an ASU NROTC Midshipman consists of 2-3 early morning physical training (PT) sessions, 1 leadership lab session, and a 3 credit Naval Science course in addition to a regular full-time academic course load. Midshipmen typically wear a uniform one time per week on the day of leadership lab.

Prospective Midshipmen should expect to spend about 8-10 hours per week dedicated to NROTC activities.

Midshipmen are expected to stay in shape and be able to pass a physical readiness test (PRT), or a physical fitness test (PFT) for Marine Options. Failure to score a good high (GH) in every category or a first-class PFT will result in an extra day of PT for fitness enhancement.
